Turkey Chili Mac with Tomatoes Recipe

This is classica Americana. Easy to prepare, though a little patience is required before you can sink your teeth in and enjoy.

Ingredients

1 can black beans, rinsed and drained (14 oz.)

1 can Mexican-style diced tomatoes (14 oz.)

1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz.)

3/4 pound ground turkey (340 grams)

1 cup frozen corn

1/2 cup chopped onion

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Mexican seasoning

1/2 cup uncooked elbow macaroni

1/3 cup sour cream

Directions

1Spray large skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat.

2Add turkey; cook while stirring for 5 minutes or until no longer pink.

3Transfer turkey to slow cooker.

4Add beans, tomatoes, corn, onion, garlic and Mexican seasoning. Cover; cook on low 4 to 5 hours.

5Stir in macaroni. Cover; cook 10 minutes.

6Remove cover and stir.

7Cover; cook 20 to 30 minutes or until macaroni is tender.

8Serve with sour cream.
