Tonight Mr. Divabetic kicks off the New Year with musical inspiration of Adele.
Every story that Adele is telling on her album, “25” with every song, with every line, is a story that has left a scar on her heart.
If you struggled managing your diabetes over the past year then let New Years inspire you to come up with resolutions to better your life for the future. Why not use your resolution this year to set goals to better your diabetes management and overall health?
It’s not always easy, but it is possible to make healthy changes that stick. This year, set yourself up for success. Your diabetes management goals for the New Year should be specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic and time-limited. One of our favorite resolutions for 2016 is to always be prepared for a low or high blood glucose reaction.
Remember to reward yourself for achieving your goals. Your small successes are important! If you successfully lose 10 pounds by March, treat yourself to a safe manicure or go see Adele perform live this year.
Adele’s album, “25” has sold six million copies in the US and become the 20th album to sell at least a million copies in a single week in the Nielsen era. It is the largest selling album of 2015 in total, surpassing the sales of Taylor Swift’s 1989.
Guests include Poet Lorraine Brooks, Mama Rose Marie, the Charlie’s Angels of Outreach (Patricia Addie-Gentle RN, CDE and MaryAnn Nicolay MEd, NDTR), Jennifer Jacobs, Dana Collins Carr and Cindy Lou, who is living with type 2 diabetes from Kentucky.
Throughout the podcast we will be playing selected cuts from “25” courtesy of SONY Music.
